Hi. Hello. How are you?

I am back with another unboxing! They all seem to come around the same time. This box is one of my favorites: Owlcrate!

What is it? Owlcrate. A YA subscription box that includes a hardcover exclusive, signed edition of a highly anticipated YA book and several useful bookish goodies.

This months theme was Tournaments and Trials.

Fandoms include Harry Potter, The Night Circus, A Gathering of Shadows, The Selection, and The Hunger Games.

How beautiful is this spoiler card? I love the faries and bumble bees.

I’ve been getting Owlcrate for a few months now, and every time I receive my box, I am completely blown away! Each box is even more amazing than the month before. Everything is super useful or I find an unconventional way to use it. (Example: I have no use for a passport holder so I use it for a first aid kit in my purse.)

First up is this beautiful lanyard inspired by The Selection! “Bravery hides in amazing places.” I love the colors and the little cacti. This is designed by Four Seasons Fox. You can check them out here: https://www.fourseasonsfox.com/

This is what my purse has been needing. A coin purse. Better yet, a Hunger Games inspired one! Designed by Kit Cronk Studio. https://kitcronk.com/

Do you love puzzles? Because I do! This is a 300 piece puzzle inspired by The Night Circus. I just got around to reading it and I think its in my top 10 list. (Speaking of….I should make that into a real list LOL) Designed by Holly Dunn Design. https://www.hollydunndesign.com/

For the Special Edition Finale box, Owlcrate designed an amazing deck of cards. I completely missed out and was super bummed about it. When they announced they were including a deck of cards in their normal subscription box, I got super excited and hoped the were similar to the others.

Needless to say, I think the A Gathering of Shadows deck is even better! The artwork is absolutely stunning and that red foiling on the edges…LOVE! Each suit was designed by a different artist. Hearts, Nicole Deal. Diamonds, Marianne Martin. Spades, Gina Hilton. Clubs, Diana Dworak. And lastly, Owlcrate’s own, Michelle Grey designed the rest.

Cara Kozic does and amazing job with all the little details on this Goblet of Fire mug!! I was lucky enough to order the other 2 Harry Potter mugs that they released in the past. I cant wait to see what Cara comes up with for the rest of the series!

Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim is a Mulan retelling of sorts. And do I love retellings. I’m so behind on reading, but I really want to dive into this book. How does this one differ from the rest? They changed the silver lettering to gold. Honestly, I love the gold so much more. Also included was a ‘Dear Reader’ letter and a matching bookmark in the shape of a sun.

And finally, another pin to add to my ever growing collection! This was designed by Dust and Pages ( and inspired by Spin the Dawn! I love how the pin matched their book pick. Now I’ll always have some kind of bookish merch to match what I’m reading. https://dust-and-pages.myshopify.com/

August’s theme will be Storms & Seas! I cant wait to see what’s insisde!

All my love, always,
